Creating a Sustainable Future—From 2013 to 2017, I served as the in-house student video producer for the Office for Sustainability at Western Michigan University, one of my first major roles in filmmaking. This experience was invaluable, immersing me in the university’s commitment to fostering a greener, more sustainable world. As I took on the challenges of producing, shooting, and editing a range of projects, I learned not only the technical skills of video production but also the importance of storytelling in inspiring positive change. Each project taught me something new—from capturing the impact of sustainability programs on campus to working collaboratively with passionate staff and students to bring these initiatives to life. This role shaped me into a filmmaker dedicated to making a difference.
